Coaching can be an effective way to facilitate change and Cultivate offers coaching for a variety of purposes.
Career Invention Coaching
The goal of career invention coaching is to get you really clear on the work you want to be doing in your life. It may be a continuation of what you have done thus far or it may be something completely different. You’ll take a deep and intense look inside and let that guide your next moves via a four step process:
- Discovery (uncovering, taking stock)
- Get Clear (looking at options)
- Testing and Trying
- The Final Lap (closing the deal)
Along the way you will complete a variety of assessments and exercises which include analysis, feedback and action planning. Through an interactive, building process, Career Invention coaching will get you moving and unstuck. If you have reached the point where you are ready to grow but just can’t figure out what to do next, Career Invention coaching will help. As part of the process, you will have specific assignments after each session to move you forward. The number of sessions required depends on each person and situation but five or six is typical. Career Invention process and certification created by master coaches Michele Woodward and Pam Slim.
Supervisor & Management Coaching
This coaching is tailored to the individual depending on career stage. New supervisors/managers will be coached around the basic functions of management (planning, leading, organizing, controlling) and organization behavior (motivation, culture, conflict, teams, communication, etc.). A variety of assessments may be used. Ongoing sessions provide continuing support, guidance and motivation.
Senior Manager & Executive Coaching
Experienced managers and leaders will be assessed to identify “gaps” in their knowledge, abilities, and experience. I help individuals determine their needs and aspirations and then work with them in creating action plans to help them move forward successfully in their assignments and their careers. I like to use the Hogan assessments as a starting point to increase self-awareness. Ongoing sessions provide continuing support, guidance and motivation.
First-90 Coaching
The purpose of first 90 coaching is to provide support and to help you navigate your new organization and/or new assignment in the initial 90 days. First 90 can help you hit the ground running, create a plan of specifics to accomplish during the first three months, and ease the transition for all involved. Ongoing sessions provide continuing support, guidance and motivation.
Employee Coaching
Something consistently cited as important to employee satisfaction and retention is opportunity for development. The purpose of employee coaching is to work with employees to identify developmental needs and then create a feasible action plan to address those needs. Ongoing sessions provide continuing support, guidance and motivation.

My philosophy is simple: Work should be a good thing, not a struggle. The work I do with clients is creating and supporting a process to make this a reality both for individuals and for organizations. I have had a rich and blessed life that...
